OTR Transport

NWPID served by US Highway 371, which connects the North Webster Parish area directly to Interstate Highways I-30 to the north and I-49 to the west (approximately 40 miles); and I-20 to the south (approximately 26 miles).

Air

NWPID is located approximately forty (40) miles from the Shreveport Regional Airport (SHV) serving major commercial carriers. ( http://www.flyshreveport.com/ ) SHV also houses a full service FBO operated by TacAir.

Webster Parish is served by municipal airports. Springhill (SPH) has a small FBO with a 4000 foot runway. Minden (MNE), thirty miles to the south, houses a full service FBO with a 5000 foot runway. ( http://www.mindenairport.net/info.htm )

Railroad Transport

The North Webster Parish area transportation infrastructure includes short-line rail service provided by WATCO connections to Kansas City Southern (KCS), a national mainline railroad. The short line rail freight service provided by WATCO Transportation Services offers access to the Port of Shreveport.
