Springhill Medical Center is a locally-owned non-profit 58 bed hospital serving Northern Louisiana and Southern Arkansas for 55 years. SMC operates a Hospital with Emergency Room, a Senior Care Ward, and three rural health clinics: Doctors Clinic, North Webster Medical Clinic and Muddy Bottoms Clinic. In addition, nursing staff service area businesses as on-site registered nurse or periodically providing blood pressure checks and educational information on area health concerns. The health enterprise is proud to support the local community by way of being an active North Webster Chamber member, funding mental health counseling in the schools, sponsoring sports & festivals, and opening its doors for Teddy Bear Clinic, Senior Fun Day, Senior Friends, open houses, host high school students’ Area Health Education Center (A-HEC) summer program, and many more events.
Springhill Medical Center is a member of the Louisiana Hospital Association and is accredited by the Joint Commission. In 2013, the hospital was awarded the Community Value Leadership Five Star Reward as well as the Women’s Choice Award for Best Hospital for Patient Experience in Emergency Care. Springhill Medical Center was recently recognized fordemonstrating quality excellence by the Hospital Engagement Network (HEN). The hospital earned six awards of excellence in the following areas; 20% readmission reduction, zero catheter associated urinary tract infections, zero central line associated blood stream infections, zero surgical site infections, zero ventilator associated events and participating in the LHA Research & Education Foundation.
